This artwork depicts the loving bond between mother and child, also other aspects of the plains culture.Infants were kept protected, as well as cozy by the cradleboard.While the mother worked picking berries, tanning hides, cooking, or the multitude of other chores of life, the baby was kept close by, secure and warm.
