If you journey to the lands of the Hopi and Zuni and Shoshone and Navajo, you will see the Southwest colors, in the rocks and mountains, the plants, sky and sunsets and sunrises. Americans are blessed with the grandeur of the landscape the Creator sculpted. Indigenous people are the best stewards of the land, living close to it, interdependent, holding it sacred. No one has the right to take it from them or force them off of their ancestral home.
I created three pastel artworks based on the Kachina dolls of the Southwest. This one is the one I titled the Eagle Kachina.
